Urine tests can occasionally be inconclusive and return false negatives, however a blood test is normally pretty spot on.

A blood test can confirm a pregnancy as soon as 8 days post conception (depending on when implantation actually occurs), however to be sure a blood test taken 7 days after a missed period is pretty well a done deal either way.

If all your tests are coming back negative yet you are convinced you are still pregnant then the best I can suggest is to wait until you estimate it would be about 6-7 weeks since you conceived and then find a sympathetic doctor who will facilitiate an ultrasound for you (either doing it him or herself, or referring you to a radiology clinic).

Occasionally conditions such as ectopic pregnancies can give very low hCG readings which do not conclusively show up properly on urine tests - however a blood test will usually pick this up 99.9% of the time.

If they're all urine tests, yes- they can just be too early. My ob/gyn's nurse told me that they use the same thing as we use at home (basically, they're mass produced and sold cheaper to them in bulk). Most dr's offices will offer you a blood test but a false negative on those is basically unheard of.

The urine test detects a HGC level above __ (I don't know the #) but a blood test detects the level of the HGC hormone, from 1 to a billion.

Actually, even if you an ectopic pregnancy (one that doesn't grow in the uterus), it WILL still show a positive pregnancy result.

It depends on if the Dr's used a blood test or not. A Dr gave me a urine test and told me I wasn't pregnant. I went camping and partied. Turned out I was pregnant. My son is now just about 12, next weekend.

If you are taking tests at home, and they are negative, you are 1. testing too early. 2. NOT PREGNANT

If you go to a doctor, and they do either a blood or urine test, and you are negative, YOU ARE NOT PREGNANT.

majority rules.if multiple test say you're not then you're not UNLESS it is a pregnancy where the baby grows on the outside of the uterus......in that case only an ultra sound can tell so look into that aspect with your doctor asap.....
best wishes!
