Fast food is filled with sugar, sodium, bad fats, and simple carbohydrates-- way too many calories. All of these things in such excess are bad for you. After we eat them, we get hungry faster because of the bad carbs. Then we become hungry sooner than we would if we had eaten healthier food.
Of course, all of that doesn't make us fat unless we actually go to the fast food store, buy the fast food, and eat the fast food. We have control over this.
Therefore, I'll have to say that our lack of willpower and our tendencies to do things the easy and convenient way are making us fat. You can call it gluttony, or you can call it bad choices. The result is the same.

worldwide, the problem is both. Meats and milk are full of growth hormones, steroids, and antibiotics, all of which contribute to obesity. I doubt malaysia had a problem with this before the fast food restaurants entered into the scene. The fast food companies lace their foods with addictive additives, making the consumer crave their foods. Its shocking what really goes on that most consumers are unaware of

I would say a combination of both. There is no doubt fast food of any kind is fatting, but if you eat it in moderation then you should be fine. So if I had to make a choose I would say gluttony, no one is forcing them to eat it.

In an age where money rules our lives, so many of us are getting our priorities a bit wrong. Health is sacrificed just to make ends meet. Gluttony would be closest to the mark.

Gluttony gets my vote. You could always order healthy at a fast food restaurant or just stay away from them.

It's both. When people weren't morbidly obese, they ate at those places in moderation and ate meals that were mostly at home. Now we are so obsessed with time, we eat at these places way, way more than we should. Eating at McDonald's once a month isn't going to hurt you, but eating 3-4 times a week will kill you. People need to get moving and make real meals at home. It doesn't matter what they are, they are more healthy than microwave, fast food meals.

A little bit of both. Gluttony b/c, well, the food does taste pretty good. Fast food b/c, well, its convenient. Your'e also asking about whether its due to human nature or human creation. Again, its a bit of both; the human creation preys upon upon human nature. BUt if I had to choose, I would say human creation, b/c it started it.

The lack of self discipline is the problem. We are confronted with choices about our well-being that have to be made every day. Do I drink till I am drunk? Do I take those drugs? Do I drive too fast? Do I steal that CD? Do I gorge myself on pizza? We each have freedom of choice. The fast food does not jump out and attack us. We make the choice about whether we'll eat it once a week or twice a day.

A little of both. Generally fast food is high in fat and calories, even the things that are touted as "healthy" choices. But part of the problem is that people eat until it's gone rather than eat until they are satisfied.
