From Andheri follow the route as:

Get on the National Highway ( Mumbai - Ahmedabad) and keep travelling till you find a diversion on your left side known as "Vasai Phata". Before you reach this you will have to cross the Toll Naka while you go out of Mumbai. Then you will come across Kashimira ( a diversion to go to Mira Road and Bhayander), Keep going ahead. Soon you will cross "Bhayander Creek bridge". After some time you will find a road on your left side which goes to Naigaon. Don't turn and keep going. After this one more route will open on your right side which goes to Kaman, Bhiwandi etc. Don't move and keep going. You will climb a small hillock and start descending the same. Midway on this down-slide you will find a small road turning to your left. Now please take a turn on this road and leave the national highway. This road will take you to Vasai.

I am not aware of exact distance (kilometers wise) that you will have to travel. But follow these directions and you will definitely reach Vasai.

Happy journey.

IIT Mumbai has launched "Mumbai Navigator" for people to find out, how to reach from one place to another. The navigator is available on http://www.cse.iitb.ac.in/navigator/index.html

Just visit the site and find out how many types of routes are available from your present location to the desired destination, and how much time each route takes. It also gives information about how to take one mode of transport first, where to get down, the distance one needs to cover on foot and where, which mode of transport to take next and where to get down again. Hope u will find the link very useful. Have a go at it.

Also visit, http://www.cse.iitb.ac.in/navigator2/Main for "Mumbai Navigator" alongwith maps.

Also for road map, you may try http://www.aboutmumbai.com/mumbaimap.asp

Hope it helps.
