Hmmm, yes there is a way you should hang them to dry, don't use dryer this could be what is shrinking them, they sound like they are knit shirts those types are notorious for shrinking, I would suggest on hanging them to dry in say, a bathroom this seems to be the best place for hanging clothes to dry they come out less wrinkled, but if you shirts come out too wrinkled after hanging them up to dry, then I would like to suggest you add a small amount of Hair conditioner to your rinse water, about two tablespoons they will come out soft and wrinkle free and smelling nice. Good Luck !

First, don't buy 100% cotton shirts. Buy ones that have a percentage of man made fibers like polyester. If you buy the better shirts then washing in cold and drying on a low setting will not shrink the material.

it sounds like you are buying 100% cotton shirts... buying a shirt that has a bit of synthetic fibers will help reduce shrinking

sometimes if you pay a bit more for them, the quality of the fabric will decrease the shrinking as well

wash in cold water.... hang to dry... and press them if they are dress shirts...

i HAVE been able to get my husband and son's shirts to 'relengthen' the sleeves by pressing with an iron after i have spritzed some water on the sleeves... and then ironing them to stretch out the fibers...

Buying the pre-shrunk ones helps, otherwise just buy larger than you actually need and wash them before wearing to get them to fit.
