When you are 18, one year is 1/18th of your life. When you are 22, one year is 1/22 of your life. So it is, relatively speaking, shorter and seems to go by faster. Wait until you are 50 and a year is only 1/50 of your life!

I hate to tell you this, but it gets worse. You're going to wake up tomorrow and be 40 (at least that's what it felt like !) The lesson from this is...enjoy your life NOW instead of always focusing on the future, like I did.

BTW...in case I scared you, don't worry...I'm not saying it's bad to be older. In fact, I'm enjoying my life now more than I ever did. I just wanted you to be aware that it goes QUICKLY so you should enjoy each stage as much as possible !

I am fixing to be 50, and I am afraid when I wake up tomorrow I will be 75. I agree, time goes faster the older we get.

I believe it's because of the BILLS. Each and every month they come and every time it's time to pay it feels like you just paid the bill. So the months go by faster, the bills keep coming, the next thing you know it's time to renew a lease...Then you are ready to retire. lol

because when you are younger you do not have much to do but when you are 18 you have lots and lots to do so you have less time left and it seems that time passes very fast

Because you are probably not having as much fun as you used to as a child. Also, you are more aware of time as you grow up and it's importance.
