i have intel core 2 duo E6300 processor ,with D946GZIS motherboard ,256 mb ddr2 ram , 80 GB SATA 2 HDD...............!

First off em64t just indicates that your cpu can support 64bit. If you aren't using a 64bit operating system then it really doesn't matter. In other wards to use em64t you must have a 64 bit operating system like windows XP x64 or a 64 bit edition of windows Vista (you need one gigabyte ram for this i.e. 1024MB ram).

Your motherboard isn't the best performance wise but it's okay. 256MB isn't very good for a dual core system.

You don't mention in what area you want to improve performance. If i assume performance in games then you should look at your graphics card (what card are you using) and ram as performance limiters. For gaming 1 GB ram is okay but 2GB is better.

em64t is always activated u cant enable or disable this feature but u can alter hyper threading tech. from the BIOS
