You should consult a feng shui expert. It also depends on the type of sword, like if it is a samurai katana, a Medieval broadsword, a pirate cutlass ( Arrgh!) or a lightsaber. (Just kidding...) If you have a stand or something, put it on a place that attracts the eye ( i.e, the mantle of a fireplace, the top of a cabinet, etc.) and keep that place free of clutter. That's al I have to say for now. :-)
