Yeah! they are.

I did not thought the same some days ago, as i thought most of the wickets would be slow and low as we saw when india toured windies. But they have prepared new wickets for the world cup, which have got everything it should have for a such big event. The wickets are good for batting and have got something for the bowler, the wickets have got pace and bounce, some wickets assist spinners also, so overall they are very good sporting pitches.

First of all west indies pitch is mainly pace pitch.
Yea they are for some countries :
This pitch would suit for :
1. Australia
2. S.africa
3.Pakistan
4. West indies (obviously)

Rest of the countries who don't have a proper fast bowling would obviously face problems

The pitches gives equal chance for bowler and batsman. One wont be able to see huge totals where batsman come and simply hit sixes. The pitch offers something for bowler and batsman. So the matches will be evenly contested
