No. Some GP's advise malaria tablets (best ones are Malarone) but this isnt totally necessary and side effects are quite noticable.
The airline will issue you with landing cards on your outbound flight for you to complete for entry into the country.
And one other bit of advice, dont use your camera in any of the airports - many of them are also military airports and they will confiscate your camera or pull you aside with their guns!

So in a nutshell, you can go to Egypt without any prior medical innoculations or visa's.

yes but it helps to know your nationality as visa requirements vary according to your nationality. But if your British then you need at least 6 months on your passport and if you are not going to sharm or other peninsula resort ( you dont need one there unless you going out for day trips) then you will need a visa which you can buy on entry for about 10 English sometimes more depends on exchange rate. you buy the visa stamps at the airport in entry at a bank kiosk. you give them £10 each passport AND they give you 2 small stamps which you stick in your passport on a clean page then go to passport control with you immigration card and they stamp the stamps if you see what i mean and your in. Recommended inoculations are, the usual dip tet tb etc also hep and i never remember if its a or b ( the non sexual one) and typhoid you only need malaria in one small part of Egypt an oasis, if you are going to ordinary tourist areas then dont worry about malaria.have a good time i love the place

This Foreign Office Travel site is excellent and has all the information you need while

covers more informal but essential and useful facts.
Check with your GP/Physician at least a month in advance for any injections and antimalarial medication required.
Adequate travel insurance is essential - do not rely on the travel agent for this , you can get better and cheaper insurance on the web. Make sure it includes medical repatriation as otherwise it would be very expensive.

Visa depends on your country of residence. If you are going to the Sinai area you do not need one but if you plan visiting Cairo, Luxor etc you will have to get one at the airport when you arrive.

Injections no you do not need them unless you are going to go bush then you may.

Egypt is a stunning place the people are great.

Have a great time very envious.

If your going to Sharm you dont need a visa. But if you go to Sharm and decide to take a trip out, then you do need one. We went to Ras Mohammed and StCatherines monestery we would not have been allowed to if we did not have a visa. They are easy to obtain at Sharm airport. They cost approx £1 Have agood time.We never had any jabs its not compulsary.

yove got all yer answers the first one is wrong no maleria in
egypt, no malaria Jabs, only pills that have bad side efects and wish you have never started to take them and mostly do not work, but you need them if traveling on to any other african country. its better to get curred after if you contract it, it only takes three days to cure, better than what I have to go through after taking these so called anti maleria tablets,
I now live in Egypt and take nothing, if i do i will take the cure,

I recently enquired this myself.

You are recommended to get shots for malaria but it is not required. Consult your gp for professional advice.
