Should Tony Blair have appeared in a comedy sketch for Comic Relief? Is anyone else slightly appalled by this (if you can be slightly appalled) or is it just confirmation from the horse's mouth that concerning any issues regarding us, the voters and our country he just 'ain't bovvered?'

Whoa chill guys, I just think that his time may be better spent actually trying to help sort out this country rather than trying to up his celebrity image by 'getting down with the kids'. Let's face it, it is about image and popularity. How much has he raised?
Personally I actively fundraise for a charity though I think this should be allowed to be a private matter. Many of the celebrities giving their time were paid to do so.

Well done to those who have done something - free gig etc

I may sound cynical and a bit old fashioned perhaps but when a Government leader is on TV attempting comedy even if it is for charity when there are children killing each other and children being sent to fight an unjust war it just doesn't feel right to me. From the answers it obviously shows that good old Tony is an ok guy.

Bliar doesn't care.

The guy is totally deluded. He thinks he's done a great job as PM and that most of the country likes him. When journalists ask him tough questions you can tell he thinks their being really unfair!

I think it was quite amusing that he took the time to take part in that sketch to help the stars raise some money (even though I don't agree with 60% of it going OUT of the country), but at least he DID something.
I did a gig for nothing as my part in raising some money

Now tell us what YOU did to raise money seeing as you're so bovvered about the PM doing this.

No, I don't agree with his politics, but fair play to the bloke in this, give him his due he shone, it's good to get the stuffiness out of politics sometimes, and this was for a good cause.

Look what it did for Neil Kinnock!

Anyway Tony B liar is only an actor, so I suppose we shouldn't be surprised.
