Wait, I am confused. Did you also have a baby around the 28th? if so, then you can bleed for six weeks, even more sometimes, depends on the person... but, if you only got the shot, then its not normal... i was on the shot the day or so after my first son was born... and i bled because i had just given birth... i suggest if you are really worried call the doctor, if not today, then monday morning.. good luck

After having my second daughter so soon after my first, I decided to go on the depo-shot. So on my first visit after having my second daughter, I got the shot. I could have sworn, I bled forever. I beld for like 3 weeks straight, stopped for one week and bleed again for another 3 weeks. I called the doctor and she said it was normal. Some women bleed more and some women, their period just stop. Unfornately, I was one of the unlucky that kept bleeding. After my first shot, I stopped using the depo, and tried the patch. I already have long periods, lasting anywhere from 10-14 days. Using the patch really made my period regular and lasted only about 3 days. But now I'm not using anything, because I am pregnant again.

i think you’re talking with regard to the dep.-Provera contraceptive injection. the respond on your question relies upon on how long you have been on the injection, and in basic terms what bleeding/era regularity you had before you began. while you're actually ‘unprotected’, then you definately ought to, of direction, replace into pregnant before you notice a loss in any respect. there is not any reason to await the 1st ovulation/bleed to ensue. Injection is a reversible delivery administration technique, working by struggling with ovulation for as much as twelve weeks after a single injection. regrettably, wonderful bleeding is an particularly undemanding area effect in some women, and may even replace to alter into ‘no bleeding in any respect’. After their final injection, maximum women who manage to replace into pregnant, accomplish that interior of a three hundred and sixty 5 days, yet for some being pregnant might take longer. it extremely is quite because of the fact there's a residual suppression of ovulation – with classes last longer wonderful than people who existed before the injection replaced into began.

There are quite a few stories of women having all sorts of long term side effects from the depo shot.

You may want to type it in a search and see what you get back. I found numerous pages of stories from women that had all kinds of problems including periods lasting months.

It also causes some nasty emotional effects in many people as well, such as mood swings, paranoia, anger and sexual dysfunction.

Thats no fun. I had a LOT of irregular bleeding and spotting on the depo shot, some of it is normal.

I would however ask your Dr to look at whats going on, something may need to be done. Go to the Dr or call them.

Good luck
Ash
