It is absolutely lovely ...
very different from western society
full of fun things to do
warm climate (understatement!),
beautiful people, absolutely beautiful ....
great food
a very nice way of living
lovely clothes
a long cultural tradition
old religious traditions that hold to this day and are still fresh and being updated every day ...
very concerned about progress
very aware of its own shortcomings, to the point of being overly critical and making itself unhappy and blue
full of spices, incense, lovely animals
the children are adorable (5-star beautiful!), and so are the men
who are truly handsome and the women who are just so beautiful ... even if they are desperately poor, they are still handsome and beautiful
wonderful Dharma
Lovely hotels, some Indian style, some western style
Terriffic way of interacting: very warm human relationships ...
Lovely sights to see, things to look at, fantastic art, gorgeous temples
Beautiful social customs
With a rhythm and beat all its own ... laid back, funny, adorable
And so upset !!!!!!

The poverty is incredible. A lot of children I saw were selling tea, coffee, polishing shoes for a living, and that too on the weekdays. They should be at school being kids. It's a nice country to live in, but poverty is a big problem.

A country where u can enjoy. A place where u have freedom but u tend to restrict yourself in order not to loose respect or dignity i the society. You can find all kinds of people Rich - Poor, Good - Bad, Kind - Cruel, people from various other country, continent, religion but still they have the mutual understanding an live one family.
U can enjoy many festivals, find true love, etc....
Many to tell but no time.
By the way u can find 90% jealous people ova here... :-)

It's a poor country with over populated cities so you should expect mayhem.
Goa is nice though as the Goans are more western accepting so you feel more welcome. I would stay clear of major cities.

Its a hole. people crap and piss in public whilst you are shopping... yep and i thought i trod in elephant poo but turned out to be human faeces.
