Hehe, I think I was eight or nine, and all I remember for sure is that everyone else had one except me; we still used the Atari for years....

Now? Nintendo reminds me of being a kid... :)

I glanced at the answers and youth. I heard about Nintendo when my children were young about 5 years old. My sons are now 19 and 23. So I suppose approximately 15 years ago in was the in thing. I have not seen Nintendo for several years. I did like their product, it was not as expensive and was durable, and trustworthy.
All the things to day computerised are awful, expensive and don't last. We are definitely set up electronics are over rated. I would prefer a Nintendo any-day.

Fun from childhood... spending time with my sisters.... I still play Nintendo to this day. Even though it doesn't have the graphics the games do now I still enjoy it.... It is a classic and I don't feel like it will ever get old. Good times!

It was 1992. I was 29 and my son wanted one for his fifth birthday. We got him one.

It doesn't mean anything in particular. Just the name of a game system.
