It is true. Brad Delp was found dead in his bathroom Friday with a note that read quote -- Mr. Brad Delp. J'ai une ame solitaire. I am a lonely soul. -- end quote
I had never heard of someone using Charcoal Grills before to commit suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning, but apparently the method became popular (if you can call it that) in the Asian countries (China, Taiwan etc.) According to what I read on Wikipedia (which we all know is fallible)
The method is described as "easy and painless" compared to other suicide methods.[4] Unlike jumping from a high-rise building or cutting with a knife, the suicidal person does not have to overcome his or her fear. To relieve the possible discomfort of suffocation, one might take drugs and/or alcohol.[5] Some experts challenge the description of the method as painless, noting that the lack of oxygen can cause choking.[6]
Brad Delp was an excellent talent and even though he wanted to forget about life, he will never be forgotten. Boston provided the background music to many happy memories in my life. I hope that his spirit finds peace.

I was very sad when I heard about it. Brad Delp was an awesome vocalist who never got the recognition he deserved.

Yes, as I understand it he took gas grills in to the bathroom and lit them, locked himself in.
