An anti-wrinkle cream may lessen the appearance of your wrinkles, depending on how often you use it, the type and amount of active ingredient in the wrinkle cream and the extent of the wrinkles you want to treat.

But if you want to take the guesswork out of your skin-care regimen, try these more reliable ways to improve and maintain your skin's youthful appearance.

Protect your skin from the sun. Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light speeds up the natural aging process of your skin, causing wrinkles and rough, blotchy skin. In fact, sun exposure is the No. 1 reason for aging signs in the skin, including uneven pigmentation. Protect your skin — and prevent future wrinkles — by limiting the time you spend in the sun and always wearing protective clothing and hats. Also, use sunscreen when outdoors, even in winter.
Choose products with built-in sunscreen. When selecting skin-care products, choose those with a built-in sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15. Also, be sure to select products that block both UVA and UVB rays.
Use moisturizers. Dry skin turns plump skin cells into shriveled ones, creating fine lines and wrinkles long before you're due. Though moisturizers can't prevent wrinkles, they can temporarily mask tiny lines and creases.
Don't smoke. Smoking causes narrowing of the blood vessels in the outermost layers of your skin. It also damages collagen and elastin — fibers that give your skin its strength and elasticity. As a result, skin begins to sag and wrinkle prematurely.
Also try rubbing a mixture of mashed avocado and mayonaise on your face, leave it on for 5 minutes, then wash off with a soft facial cleanser.
Good luck!

The first obvious way is stay out of the direct sun. Wear a wide brim hat or a cap with a bill on it when you do go out. Somewhat impractical and out of style for today's society.

Preparation-H does help reduce the effects of natural winkles. We all get them and we all want to minimize them. This is one product that seems to be a quick fix when dabbed sparingly on effected areas. A little bit goes a long way I might add.

If you are looking for a daily product for skin treatments like cleansing, moisturing, etc. I suggest Mary Kay. They make a product/s know as Day/Night Solution and several moisturizers and toners. I started using it about 7 years ago and it worked wonders. A tad expensive, but well worth it. Within weeks I noticed a big differences. Most people with allergies or sensitivities tolerate Mary Kay well.

I also use a body cream that has cucumber in it. Cucumber is great for skin. Even slices of cucumber on your eyes DOES really work.

I stay away from most over the counter products as they have alcohol in them and too many preservatives. Alcohol is very drying to the skin. Preservatives are also harmful to the skin. We can't get away from all of them because companies have a long "shelf life" on their products, but we can limit them by being selective and educated about the products we choose.

Good old "MILK" soap and water works wonders for cleasing. If you can't find a GOOD milk soap, use a soap with the least amount of fragrance in it. I use a facial scrub when taking make-up off, but use milk soap for daily washing. Lots of rinsing. Water is good for your skin. Both on the skin and drinking lots of water. Hydrate externally and internally.

I hope this provides you with a few more options....good luck...:)

Hydrating aging skin and helping it to retain moisture are the keys to reducing and preventing wrinkles. Nourishing the skin with the proper foods, exfoliating dead skin cells with fruit acids, and getting enough rest are also important.

So here are some simple tips for younger skin:

1. Humidify your home, especially during the winter heating season.

2. Spritz your skin frequently throughout the day with a mineral water spritzer.

3. Aloe vera gel makes a great healing moisturizer. Use it on your face and body as often as possible.

4. Honey is a great humectant: make a mask of honey with the contents of a vitamin E capsule added and smooth on your face. Allow to rest for 10 minutes, then rinse with warm water and pat dry.

5. Moisturizing creams are great for reducing wrinkles. Luscious Tropical Moisturizing Cream which contains cocoa butter, a fabulous moisturizer for aging skin.

6. Anti-oxidant-rich foods like carrots, for example, are good to eat--and good to apply to the skin. Try adding carrot juice or other fruit or vegetable juices to your moisturizer.

7. Make simple fruit or vegetable masks to gently slough off dead skin cells. Crushed strawberries, bananas, cucumber, and many other foods make wonderful nourishing and exfoliating masks.

8. Rub Vitamin E or wheat germ oil directly into wrinkles.

9. After a lifetime of exposure to pollutants, we need antioxidant help. Try applying witch hazel to your skin: it is powerful.

10. Make sure you get enough omega-3 oil in your diet. Flax seeds are a great source.

11. Try a simple, all-natural Herbal Face-Lift Formula.

12. Make sure you get enough rest, so that your skin has time to repair itself.

Just keep on smiling. A smile relaxes the face, and it don't work up all the muscles on the face compared to a frown.
