I was walking home from my friends room late at night, and I saw something "run" across the path I was walking on, right as I passed a bush. Used to the many squirrels, rabbits, and gecko-like creatures that inhabit our campus, I thought it was one of those animals. I squealed, and ran a few steps, and when I looked back, noticed the animal was still there, a bird.
My friend began to step towards it, and the bird flew up, and then fell right back down in front of me, almost as if it were preventing me from walking further. The bird laid there, twitching a little, while facing the ground.

yes sweetheart it is. and if the bird had dropped a feather it would have been good luck. you on the otherhand need to be careful. they is going to be a end to something. doesnt necessarily mean death. but a end. be careful and look after the ones you love. could be the lose of a job, eviction, just about anything, but you need to reevaluate what is going on in your life really soon

There are no coincidences. You must interpret this sign yourself since it was meant for you. If I were to interpret it.... I would think; Birds represent freedom, therefore if there is something you are involved in that may cause you to be incarcerated, stop your involvement now. Or, if you tend to take chances with the law, your dead bird may be representing your freedom is in jeopardy. Most people will say it means nothing. This is only a different perspective.

This whole concept has crept in to our society and into Christian thinking as well through Greek mythology. There are no such things as bad omens. The bird died. That is all there is to that.

Good luck and bad luck were explainations for the unexplained.

People who talk about omens and signs are often just saying something to look clever and having great insight, when in fact they are opening mouth to put foot in.
