Yes there a vast change in the syllabus.nearly all the books are changing.International history is going to be taught instead of Indian history.In economics the 11th and 12th grade lessons will be there in 10th.you can further check the syllabus on:

yes there is a lot of change in the syllabus. u can find it on cbse.nic.in. click on latest downloads from CBSE and the school curriculum Vol. I. u will find the new syllabus there for all subject.
the new syllabus is rather easy coz many chapters have been deleted.

you can see the syllabus from www.cbse.nic.in and as far as the question of being tough is concerned, you can see the online textbooks(new) on www.ncert.nic.in. good luck.
