Very popular vehicles in Africa. Stolen ones often end up there.
It was probably targeted regardless of how much fuel you had in it because they wouldn't go " oh dam there's only half a tank we wont steal this one"
Sorry but it is probably gone for good and the last you will hear about it is when you get the speeding fines through the door.
That said I hope you do get it back and it is in one piece, I shall note the reg and keep an eye out whilst on my travels

no if he is on his way to Egypt via Turkey Lebanon Jordan Israel. They will not get here for at least another 15 days given another 2 on the egyptian border at Taba, red tape and all that, if I see him I will let you know via this type of message board.
Anyway hope you find it, had my van nicked in the same location. its not the theft its the hassle after like getting home, and what is in the van, they found mine burnt out in Solyhull 6 months later, it was a new merc and not many around in them days 1985,12000 more on the clock and the same plates, the police go around with their eyes ef1n shut. and will only pull you over for a quick buck ( not much different than Egypt except it goes in the legal system)
I live in Egypt now no such crimes here. get your hands chopped off here, and too many check points, the cops pull you over just for backsheesh, 5le =50p(backhanders) much safer place than the uk. not kiddin either,
