Should Halal meat be banned in non-Muslim countries?

Question

Halal meat comes from animals that have had their throat cut. The animal bleeds to death while the butcher chants to Allah.

Muslims are not a race of people. They are a religious group. Catholics are not a race of people, Protestants are not a race of people. So it is ridiculous to make accusations of racism.
Alcohol is banned in Muslim countries so non-Muslims must go to a non-Muslim country to consume alcohol. Therefore it is only fair that if Muslims wish to eat Halal meat then they should go to a Muslim country to do it.

we couldn't ban halal meat simply because of the way its prepared, the ritual has spaned centuries and is of course very important to Muslims.
we live in a tolerant society and respect for other religions and their practices is part of what makes us the people we are.
if halal meat was banned would Muslims have the right to request we stop eating pork? i don't think so.
the halal ritual when done correctly is clean safe and not painful, as opposed to veal crates, foi grasse,battery chickens etc

How do you think non halal meat victims are treated. Do you really think animals that are bred for slaughtering have a good life or a painless, death? I think all meat should be banned since it means torturing and murdering animals.

The Halal way of slaughtering is actually less painful to the animal than how it is done by non-Halal and non-Kosher slaughterhouses. The animal dies instantly, rather than having his/her head bashed in with a sledgehammer, for example. In a Kosher kill, for example, if an animal flinches in pain, the meat cannot be certified as Kosher. My guess is the Halal meats are processed in a similar way. Perhaps you should re-examine how "we" do things here...

firstly, dun be a racist.. the Muslim way of slaughtering animals is the fastest way to kill them, thus there's less suffering.. so i'm not sure why u aint seeing this as a positive thing.. think twice next time when u're eating a non-Halal meat..
