Yes, you must pay attention, if you don't know the steps, you might as well not be there. It is important to know what you're doing at all times so that you don't choke up on stage.
Yes, you must be graceful...must of what a dancer is made of is grace and elegance. Yes there are some sharp movements in dance, but you cannot pull them off without some basis of grace. Grace makes every movement you make look complete and beautiful.

You don't always have to dance gracefully--some styles require sharp movements, going crazy, purposely making odd awkward shapes, etc... Sleeping all the time typically doesn't help you either. If you pay attention to what the proper dance moves are, how you should look, and how you really do look as you're dancing, then you have a better chance of dancing properly.

Pay attention to the instructor and if you are the dancing material naturally you will dance properly. It's all in you.

no it received't heavily. i'm a dancer and an actress so i see many gay adult men, yet i visit inform at the same time as they're and at the same time as they are not gay. human beings wont basically assume that. there replaced right into a thoroughly immediately football participant in my dance classification! SO TAKE training! :D

No one can tell you how to dance properly. If you feel you are dancing properly then you are. However i would advise you to pay attention to your instructor.
