The song was "walking in Memphis", and the original version was by Mark Cohn and released in 1991, but Cher covered it in about 1997.

Walking in Memphis was written by, and originally performed a guy called Marc Cohn, but you might know a cover version by Lonestar, or the one by Cher.

"Walking In Memphis" was originally by Marc Cohn. Stick with this version, it's the best one. Stay clear of Cher's abomination, for goodness's sake.
