Boxers aren't "breeded" that way, otherwise they'd be born without them.
Depending on where you are located, it could very well be illegal. Here in the states, it is not illegal. Most vets will do tails and dew claws at the same time (please get the dew claws done) within 3 days of being born.

The Vet. I have a 7 wk boxer and her tail is still on and personally i think she is cuter then any of the other boxers with her tail. But it should be done only shortly after birth and a lot of places are moving to make it illegal. In germany (where i am and i got my baby girl) it is very illegal to alter a dog in any way other then nuetering.

You should have it done within the first few weeks of there life. Check with your vet and he will give you his advice.Unlike everyone else on here, I think there is nothing prettier then a box with his ear's cropped and tail docked. But as an owner you need to decide what you want. Having these things done is no different then you having a medical operation done on yourself. A little painful at first but in the end its worth it. If you do have the ears done I have some advice that works wonders. I have 2 boxers with there ears done and was having trouble with them standing straight. My vet told me to pour cod fish oil over there food.(can buy it at any pharmacies)Within days they were perfect. It hardens the cartilage and they love the taste.

All Boxers are not "Breeded" that way. Have a look at this site:
http://www.cdb.org/
which explains the current situation.
More important that cropping your puppies tails - I hope you made sure that the sire and dam had both had all the necessary health checks before you mated them - in particular that they were tested for heart disease by a recognised cardiologist.?

The vet will do it or give you information on it. It is NOT illegal to crop the tails. There is an age limitation though, it may be 2-4 weeks, consult your vet and schedule their first worming shots.
