YES - all animals have brain and they also suffer mental disorder and become made. We have heard of ELEPHANTS becoming MAD. Stray DOGs become mad and bite road side people, which becomes a big head ache to treat. Similarly other animals also become made.

The main reason for animals to become mentally ill, or suffering from tension or becoming MAD is due to their not getting suitable mating partner and not able to mate satisfactorily. When animals become mad due to this they also become very violent and attack people.

Human being because of presence of sixth sense they are able to control this madness to some extent, but they suffer a lot when they are unable to get satisfied in sex, apart from many other reasons. .

Animals can be depressed, bored or suffer from anxiety just as humans do. For example, my dog has separation anxiety. She was an abused dog that I adopted when she was a year old. She's very happy now, but she gets anxious and upset every time I leave the house. I was told by an animal trainer that she's upset that I won't come back. To answer your questions, I would have to say YES!

Yes, the more intelligent an animal is, the more types of personality and psychological disorders it can have. Any animal can experience regular stress, even reptiles with primitive brains. More complicated minds, like dogs, can experience almost everything that humans do. They can have jealousy, love, psychosis, separation anxiety, etc. There is even a specialized branch of veterinary medicine for pet psychology which is lately growing.
