right now i'm using a copy version of window xp professional and i wonder if its ok for me to install sp2 by doing "Auto Upgrade" and if its not is there anyway that i can get it installed safely without having any problem?

The question is answered for the sake of answering an question, it is highly recommended to use genuine software.
You can install XP SP2 even if you have copy version, there would not be any problem but ignore upgrading on line.
Further, If you don't have genuine version of XP, then don't opt for "Windows update" for any updates to be downloaded and installed at your system.
