if it is still with mom, let her take care of feeding it. If it is your new pet, now is the perfect time to get it used to pelleted bird food. Birds love seed, but an all seed diet is very fatty and lacking in many nutrients. Pelleted food is more balanced. You can find it at any pet store like petco or petsmart. However if the bird was used to eating seeds before don't just abruptly change the diet. You will have to gradually transition them, some birds would rather starve than try new food. Another thing is that you can get your bird used to different foods like apples, and broccli. These are good treats.

Hiya, young budgies out of the nest usually respond well to eating millet spray hung in the avairy or cage. Try scattering simple budgie seed at the bottom of the cage and gradually you will find your bird start to pick up the seed.
Good luck!

Wild budgerigars eat a wide variety of plants and grasses as well as seeds. We try to give as balanced and varied a diet as possible to our domesticated birds. Unfortunately, not all commercial diets provide this. A balanced diet is the best way to ensure optimum health for your bird. Clean all food and water bowls, and water apparatus daily, and offer fresh water, seed, and fruit and vegetables daily. In the wild, budgies have different seeds available at different times of the year, so they eat a wide variety to meet their nutritional demands. Seed mixtures available for budgies contain as few as 2 types of seed, and budgies often pick out their favourite seed first, so that if a large quantity of seed mix is always available, they may only be eating one type of food. Millet seed is commonly the favourite seed. These birds are my favorite!!! Mine also like the cuttle-bone. hope I helped! good luck to ya!

The good things about Bungies are that you can leave them the food there and they'll eat it. But since this bungie is a baby you need to supervise him eating. My Bungies and most Bungies eat in the morning, lunch, and dinners. Like we do. So you need to feed him three times aday. But dont overfill the food trays because Bungies will throw the food for fun if their's alot. Hope this help.

First of all make sure that the baby is weened from his mother, and he or she is already eating seed. ( you didnt mention how old this baby bird is) But when old enough, they can eat Lettuce, (which has a lot of water, and is great for keets) Cooked plain white rice, cooked plain pasta, wheat bread, cooked beans, unsalted peanuts, broccoli, cheerios as a treat, apples (stay away from seeds, they have toxins that are harmful to birds) oranges, carrots, spinach, corn, green beans, fully cooked meat, tuna packed in water, and scrambled eggs. They are all great for your keet, and important for nutritional value!
