An english Army general, was telling me about his experiences of war, whilst serving in the golf, he and his comrads came across a baby no more than four months lying in the road...

what were they to do?

some amongst them, thought it they should pick the baby up and save it, some thought the baby was a deliberate trap, and they should all leave well alone.

a 17 year old boy, jumped in and picked up the baby ....BOOM!

The baby was lying on top of a mine. they were both killed.

That was the first of many...

Obviously, a terrible, sick thing to do...but whats the moral answer?

I'm a war veteran.I went through this moral dilemma. If you cant kill in a war then you are an asset to your enemy, but he will still kill you.My motto stays with me.When in doubt,KILL! and I must say doubt follows me everywhere.
But the Right thing to do is check for booby traps and save an Innocent!

I'd call the bomb squad have them deactivate the mine and then save the baby.
