Still many fanatic religious and spiritual people abuse this section for all kinds of scientific questions concerning biology, geography, etc. Unfortunately most of the time not because they're really interested.
About your fruit, religion and spirituality are like a banana and yellow. A banana is yellow, but yellow is not a banana.
I think religion is organized spirituality mixed with politics, culture and everything else that rulers and other dogmatics in the past used to keep in control of their people.

Religion is just a name for defined set rules of topics within spirituality. I say they go hand-in-hand. However keep in mind you can get spiritual without religion, but not the other way around.

true spirituality knows the Holy Spirit of Jesus-the rest is 'spirits' deamons that can come as creatures of light-true religion is a relationship with Jesus- so in truth both go to gether in falsehood they go together too

why? religion is a spiritual thing ...... of course if you want, I guess we can suggest to kill of religion completely and keep spirituality.
