Aside from wedding photography, you can also specialize in children's photography (women seem to be favored because of the softer, gentler sounding voices that appeals to small children and babies), pet photography, work for restaurants (special holidays such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day or Father's Day... or for food photography), caterers often recommend photographers for special events (weddings, engagement parties, birthdays, Sweet-16 or Quice-añera, anniversary celebrations), child birth photos and even commercial photos (products). Of course, there's also the usual portraits and having a good variety of backgrounds and props or locations (like a pretty garden that you might have access to) sure helps a lot. Oftentimes, photographers can make contact with small "penny-saver" newspapers or magazines and do parades or other similar special interest photos and they will pay for these photos...

My dad has recently started his own photography business. At first, 7 or 8 years ago, it was doing weddings for family who could not afford an expensive photographer, then they recommended him to the church. So he started doing weddings for people in the church who did not have a lot of money. it has sort of spiraled from there. Last weekend he shot all of the pictures for a children's soccer league(200+ kids) and makes really good money. You have to find an in with someone willing to give you a chance and as you get better, you can raise your rates.

More than easy

Make jumbo chocolate covered strawberries with nuts on a popsicle stick. At the mall they are 5$ a chocolate covered strawberry, sell 30 a day each one is 2$ and you will make 60$ a day if you sell all of them. And in a week you will make 420$.
and a month 2,520$
a year 30,240$ damn you could by a housesell like 60 a day
and in a year 60,480$.

In some large cities like mine, there are photo studios with multiple locations. When you hire them to do your photography, they send out one of their photographers, not necessarily someone the client has met. So they take in and train photographers for their (the studio's) specific type of work.

I started out doing a few weddings for people I knew who had a lower budget than average and built a good portfolio from that work. Then I started marketing myself through a retail setting where I knew the shoppers were in the wedding planning market.

first you need to assemble at portfolio of some sort to show what you are capable of doing. then you should make appointments with different types of photographers so that you get a variety of feedback. when i started doing photography, i sent pictures to the newspaper of local evevnts that i had photographed and they would frequently use them. that is a good way to get some recognition. you most likely will get peopletelling you that you are not what they are looking for, but use that to better your photos. it helped me and now i do it professionally and make 100 grand a year. good luck with your photos.
