One's "allotted fate" is an Eastern philosophy. It is called predestination in the West. Essentially, it says that at the time of one's birth, his path in life is determined by some supernatural power/s. The natural conclusion from this is that whatever someone does in life was so allotted, whether that be good or bad. It leaves no place for free choice.
But since my allotted fate is not know to me, you may argue that if I make a choice that THAT choice was indeed in my allotted fate.
It's a no-win situation.
Christianity does say that you have a choice. For example, we have a natural tendency for revenge (don't we love those movies in which a child grew up and took revenge for the killing of his parents/sister, etc?). But the Christian God says that revenge and hatred only hurts the one who hates. Love your enemies and pray for them. Leave revenge to God. But then again, you may say that if I make this choice, that THAT was my destiny/fate.

A Very very good question. Fate or karma to be completed are the result of our own thought, action done in the past.
There is no use of blaming others. Infact other help us to complete it. What to do with this? Just accept whatever comes in your life, donot react. You will clear one by one. By accepting life as it is, you are not creating new karma to you as well as others. One has to be very conscious about his
own thought and action. It is very difficult, yet very much possible.
Why one doesn't know about it?
As I mentioned earlier, not only action, even our thought create karma. A Single strong deep thought, whether one like it or not, it will happen one day.
Since we are not concious, we dont know what we were thinking & were doing in the past, we dont know what is going to happen tommorrow.
Today is based on Yesterday, tomorrow is based on today.
If one is very alert, aware of his own each and every single thought and action, watching his mind every moment, knowing the action and result, will not create a new karma
and clear his past karma.
Person who is leading such a life will know his past, present
and future.

God created you with intelligence and a free will to make choices. He didn't create you as a robot of puppet where He pulls all the strings.
The most important choice in life you can make is to get to know the One who made you. Get a Bible, read it and get to know Him.
