What is the best car? well, there are so many cars out there and so many 'factors' which would have to be considered to come to a decision on which is the best car. I used 'muck' around with cars, sell them, keeping them for a while then selling them. I have owned atleast 50 years in the last ten years. i also have read huge amounts on cars. so i'll give my opinion on the best cars in three cat's. 0-5000, 5-15000, over 15000. cars avaliable in Australia.

0-5000 - VT calais V8 LPG, or 1990 V6 camry.
5-15000 - V8 soarer LTD, or E220 mercedes sedan
over 15000 - any late model lexus would bring you peace of mind if you couldn't afford to repair a German make, if money wasn't a problem then a Supercharged Range Rover ( British racing green) would be nice. And if money really wasn't a problem a Bentley GTC convertible would bring years of enjoyment.

You could ask 10 people this question and get 10 different answers depending upon the kind of service the driver has enjoyed (or not) with his vehicle. Personally, I believe the best car built today is the one that gets you from point A to point B in comfort, does not guzzle fuel like a 69' Roadrunner, is safe and starts every time.

Older (up until 1998 or so) Volvos. They last forever, pretty reliable, relatively trouble free, VERY SAFE, pretty cheap, and, the best part, chicks dig 'em (at least the ones I like)

Hope that helps...

Joe

Impossible to answer unless your purpose was to find out how many people like Ferraris or Lambos. Different people have different requirements and at different times.

Honda, Lexus or Toyota, no question. Anything else is just a brand used to excuse poor quality.
