Yes, they did. There are a genetic Adam and Eve. They were both not the first humans and lived 100s of 1000s of years apart from each other. Though the genetics who found out about them called them Adam and Eve (for fun I suppose, they could have called them Fred and Wilma too), they have noting to do with the biblical Adam and Eve.

They didn't have anything because they never existed. If members of the same family propagate, the children are always born with genetic defects including sterility. The dummies who wrote the so-called word of God didn't know it at the time.

probably so that there was no confusion when there children were born and had them.
or they may not of and God could have just simply helped them understand how they were created and that their children will be different in that tense.
