Why not apply to a school? Especially if your course is psychology.

Well i guess that would depend on what state you live in, now if you are talking about being a shrink well you have to go to medical school and become an md, do your intership, then go for 3-4 years to become an shrink. Now a therapist or a councerllor, or even a case manager, well for therapist you need master degree in the subject, same with councellor, for case manager, well you need a ba degree.

You go to college. You go to graduate school for either counselling psychology or clinical psychology depending on what kind of 'shrink' you want to be. Depending on where you live, you may need a Phd, but you will need your Master's degree. If you want to prescribe medication, you'll need to go to medical school and specialise in psychiatry.

Another option is getting your Master's degree in Social Work.
