when it comes to making new friends or just meeting new people...why do they feel like they have to be fake??? Any comments, oh and try to be honest.

It's not that they want to be fake, its more of trying to give you that great impression. There are so many flaw a person can have, but of course you don't want to disclose all the bagage when you first meet the person.. rite? so don't blame them, blame the system... But like anything else friends, relationships takes time to unfold.. then you'll find out if that friend or person is right for you..

You must be coming across some really phony people. Most people are genuine and honest about who they are. They may brag a bit in there self introduction (as far as what they do for a living, there status etc). If they are fake its because they lack self confidence.....they may feel they have to embellish their character or prove something

It's not about being fake, but they're doing this to give you their best first impression.
You see, you wouldn't want other people to dislike you with your first impression, right? That's just the same for others.
So, they're trying to let you like them with their best foot forward.

most people feel they need to impress others upon first meeting them. with guys its a domination thing; they need to feel superior to those new to the group. girls just do it to make themselves look perfect; so others will be jealous. kinda the same things i guess. glad i aint a typical girl

they could be doin that just because they dont want you to know what kind of person they really are or they are were just raised fake
