What do you think about the "God Men" program that Brad Stine and other Christian men have started? It's purpose to draw the "warrior" out in Christian men and to make Jesus into a more strong, masculine, and tough figure.
(There is an NBC news video on the Yahoo home page if you want a link to know more about the program).

funny you ask this question, i just saw the video a few mins ago. I think it's a good idea. esp that they can talk about women and all that stuff. It's like a support group for men where they are told it's om to be themselves. I'm all for it.
By the way I am atheist/agnostic and female

I do not have time right now to view this so I will do so later today and get back with you but overall, most churches have become feminized and have very little to offer men. One has only to listen to Fathers day messages and compare them to those given on Mother day. Mothers are all but told they walk on water and have halos but men are often told that all of the evils of society is there fault and theirs alone. Neither is true.

Church for Men explains this well. but I will come back when I view the video

The tough macho thing didn't quite sound ok, but the teachings of humility, tolerance, understanding, respect in the tough macho look makes a lot of sense.

Jesus doesn't need to be made more macho. There is no point to it. But I guess if it brings more men to Jesus it will do some good.

Sounds stupid. Christ was a human, trying to make him into a Hercules figure or whatever does him injustice.

if it starts with the premise that Jesus was God in the flesh, I've no use for it.
