living in thailand for the last year with my hubby. we are due to fly back to the u.k. in the next 8 weeks, but we were thinking of sending a container load furniture and handcrafts back . we are pretty clued up on how to go about it this end. unfortunatly we are without a clue on the import laws back home, duty , customs , do's and don'ts.
could sombody please give us some info on what to expect.

well as far as i know anything above £18 is VATable and has Duty applied to it if importing.

the link belows gives info but to get most recent rates you'll probably have to call up one of the two numbers as the duty rates effective 01/01/07 have not been published on the web as yet.
