Oh my, what has this world come to? Sites? How about a parent sitting down with the child and reading and practicing spelling with the child? Go to the LIBRARY and check out BOOKS. Watch shows like Sesame Street. Practice with flash cards......the internet is great and I know everyone is used to it but reading these postings and then having a question like this really makes me wonder what in the world parents are doing these days! Ask your sister's teacher for extra spelling worksheets for her to bring home, make up your own. Don't just stick her in front of the computer.
But, if you must... then visit this website http://www.sesameworkshop.org/sesamestreet/?scrollerId=games and click on the ABC's above the picture. Good luck

I am not sure about sites that teach, but there are computer programs Reader Rabbit Kindergarten and JumpStart Kindergarten, you can find them at Wal-Mart etc. and they are fairly cheap, also many of the Leap products are great. Way to be a good sister!!

There is a great website for kids learning to read or who are early readers. It is http://www.starfall.com/. The website is free, and you can also purchase writing journals and books at a low cost. It was originally designed for first graders, but is great for pre-k and kindergarten as well. It is wonderful.

She doesn't need to be on the internet to learn to read. She needs a mother and father who aren't to lazy or "busy" to take an interest in their child's education to sit down with books and flash cards to help her learn to read.
