And can you buy that somewhere? I'd love to give it a try. Maybe it would be the answer to some of our energy problems? You wouldn't need any lightbulbs anymore, would you?

I think it would be enlightening!

You can buy glow-in-the-dark paint by the gallon. However, you will still need at least one light bulb to charge up the material so it will glow later.

Electroluminescent panels would give a simlar effect, require no light source, but are incredibly expensive to cover walls/ceiling with. I'd stick to the paint.

Yes, you'd still need light bulbs. Eventually the paint would lose its brightness if it isn't exposed to light. Plus you'd eventually get a headache from the room being so dark and everything glowing. It wouldn't light up the entire room, just the surface you paint it on. Go into a laser tag arena where they've painted the walls with blacklight paint and you'll get an idea of what that would be like.

It's been since the 60's and college, but it wasn't that great, it would give you a headache after a while. Especially with the black lights and the strobes going too.

Geeeezzzzz -- Wish I could remember the 60's. They told me I had a good time.
