just got my cocker neutered he is not eating or drinking very much he goes off and sits by himself, sleeps alone and doesn't want to play at all, this is very out of character for him he also likes to sit in the snow when I try to take him for his walk. Is this just because of the cone and the after effects of the surgery or could it be something else????? been going on for two days now

The cold snow may give him some relief. I'd call your vet and asks about his unusual behavior-like if this is normal and how long should it last.

He's just taking some time to heal, but if you are this worried then you should phone the vet that did the surgery in the first place and ask him a few questions.

Hope puppy feels better real soon, I sooooo love dogs and cats. Soft cuddly meow meows and ruff ruffs.

I think it's just the after effects of the surgery. If you're not sure, then don't wait for him to become better. It might be something serious also. So just go straight to some vet who you can really trust

After my dog got neutered she would not play or any thing it was really sad but then when i pick up her favourite toy , treat , food , collar , leash , and her favourite C.D and Movie Recorded her Favourite T.V show she was fine . It may seem like a lot but she played and did every thing she used to do.

my dog did the same thing when he got nuetered. he was very sad, still, and in all depressed. my mom was so worried about him, but we called the vet, and its completely normal for them to act like this. the funny thing is, my brothers were little at the time, so they werent much bigger then my dog, and when we went to get him nuetered, it must have hurt alot, cause he saw it assome sort of punishment for barking and trying to bite my little bros.

so, if he did something bad before you took him, he wont do it again, and its normal for him to be depressed. it hurts alot after surgery. so hes just in the middle of the pain.

yes it is a side affect of the surgery. he will be back to normal. he is just in a lot of pain right now. give him a week and if it dosent get better then you will know something is wrong.
