I recently stretched my ears, from a 14g to 12g. I had the 14s in for two weeks. I know every body is different but generally speaking, was that too soon?

And, before that, I started from normal earrings to the 14g.

Yep, too soon. You need to wait about 6 weeks between sizes in the smaller range, when you get to the 2 or 4 mark, wait at least 8 weeks between stretches. Waiting longer is better. It gives your ears a chance to recover and helps prevent thining lobes, blowouts, tears, scar tissue, etc.

Make sure you're using a proper taper, nice and lubed up. Surgical steel or titanium only for fresh stretches, no acrylic or organics untill they're healed.
