I dont kno which religion to believe, if its ok to not believe in ONE but hav a faith in a supreme power, i dont kno what is ok and what is not and its driving me crazy. im confused, i read stuff that say give me the impression that christianity and that stuff(like Jesus)is evil and christianity says everything else is. i am very confused and dont know what to believe.
if you are just going to come and preach what has been taught to you and NOT from you own personal experience then please do not answer, or at least do so without trying to FORCE YOUR OPINION down my throat.

First, stop taking opinions as fact. The opinions of people are variable and wind all over the place. If you really want to know more about God go to the source. Your options are to pray, read the book associated with religion, then do some research into the facts surrounding the religion. Check out the archaeological evidence and the historical facts. Unlike what many say here there is factual evidence available if your willing to spend some time looking it over.
As for me, I'm a Christian because I found the most evidence to support that. I'm not talking about a denominational group but a follower of Christ. I've found a church body that focuses on relationship with God and which has a learned and experienced pastor. But I found it after ignoring the opinions of others and seeking the facts for myself.

1. Allah (SWT) 'God' is only 'One', has no partner or son, and neither gives birth, nor is He born. He is eternally besought by all and has no beginning or end, and none is equal to Him (Holy Quran example)
2. He is the Merciful and the Compassionate, the Guardian and the True Guide, the Just and the Supreme Lord, the Creator and the Watchful, the First and the Last, the Knowing and the Wise, the Hearing, and the Aware, the Witness and the Glorious, the Able and ' the Powerful. (Holy Quran example).
3. He is the Loving and the Provider, the Generous and the Benevolent, the Rich and the Independent, the Forgiving and the Clement, the Patient and the Appreciative, the Unique and the Protector, the Judge and the Peace. (Holy Quran example). The question of Allah's (SWT) 'God' existence has preoccupied men's minds for many centuries. Those who believe in Allah (SWT) 'God' seem to agree that the limited finite human intelligence cannot prove the existence of the infinite boundless of Allah (SWT) 'God'. It can only illustrate or demonstrate his existence to the satisfaction of the curious human mind.
Those who deny Allah's (SWT) 'God' claim to rely on science, philosophy, or special theories of knowledge. Their arguments are sometimes inapplicable, sometimes irrelevant, always complex, and often incomprehensible. However, the developed mind will find its way to Allah (SWT) 'God'. Failure to find the way does not mean that there is no way. Denial of reality does not make it unreal.

It's a big problem, taken seriously.
To judge between religions and philosophical positions, you need a rule by which to measure or weigh them. And where do you get that from, and how do you know that is reliable?
Both Christianity and Buddhism (for example) teach that human perceptions and judgements contain inherent flaws, and thus to a degree reject "outside" assessment.
Basically you have to start with what you (think you) know, and be prepared to modify that in the light of alternate suggestions concerning the nature of the world.
I would recommend an old book,
Colin Chapman's "The Case of Christianity"
(And I'm an atheist!)
As well as Christianity, it contains the best non-condemnatory summaries of other religions and viewpoints I have come across in a single volume.
It's available very cheaply at ABE (URL)
It may be a matter of what resonates with you, which world view seems to match your observations of the world, contains fewer internal inconsistencies...

Religion won't give you God. It is what it is. A belief system for the masses and believers. The most important thing in your search is that you are learning about what you think God wants from you and wants to give you. God wants you to be happy and to succeed. Except you are the one that has to define your success. Is success love and a family? Well yes, that is the most important thing of all. You must believe that is why you are here, love. Define love, find it. Live a positive life that makes you happy, when you can do this, then you have success, when you have success, you thank God for it. God has given you a chance, thats all you get, there are no guarantees except the opportunity in this life time to pursue what it is that will give you peace.

searching for some thing that does no longer exist is adequate to emphasize everyone loopy! i idea in a god from delivery all in the time of severe college, blindly accepting what my dad and mom, relatives, and instructors informed me. i replaced right into a card wearing Christian and attended Catholic faculties. i ultimately discovered the not straightforward lesson at round age 17 that there is not any such god. i replaced into raised to be counted on a kind and loving god who protects his honest. In a frightening second, I screamed out for that protection and it replaced into no longer forthcoming. i'd particularly be an atheist than be counted on a god that could want to knowingly and willingly take care of humankind like some type of major ill ant farm technology project. Christianity is all a group of double communicate- once you've fulfillment on your existence, that's a blessing, portion of God's plan and also you should provide him credit; in case you want help, in spite of the undeniable fact that, you've loose will and also you're on your human being. Bollocks. i am hoping that's effective- best desires on your journey.

If you say nobody should preach to you what they have been taught, then nobody should talk to you because we are all taught. The only difference is WHO and HOW. Well, don't be confused. There is a quote from the Bible that gives you idea on how to find comfort "by their fruits, you shall know them." Start looking for the "fruit" in individuals first and make good friends. Eventually you wil find the rest of what you are looking for. Stay strong Buddy.

I think God is somewhere. I can feel it. He's here even as I'm talking to you. I don't know if its my subconscious mind playing games on me, but for some reason I feel like someone is watching me. God never grants my wishes and nothing really goes right in my life, but hey there's got to be something out there on a pseudo plane of reality. It can't be proven to exist but it exists anyway

Just believe that doing the right thing is the correct way to go. The religions with all their sects now number 1500 different ones and every religion claims that all the rest are lying.
