How can you believe? Really there is no proof of anything. Listening to older religions there were once Gods among us, but Christianity wants us to worship an ever-present yet never present God. How can anyone brought up in today’s society believe in such nonsense? Woman from rib? Damnation from temptations what if Adam could confess his sins? Would he be OK? Why was he not given the chance? If God is real, and so help me I want Him to be so so bad, what is he so absent in our lives? Or anyone’s lives? With 9/11 it seems other religions Gods are more "rooting for them" than the Christian God is. How can you condemn "suicide" by taking out as many innocents as possible? If there is a Jesus, a Christian God, or hey any Any God, where are you? And how can anyone (please understand I want so much to understand) love and worship this God?

Faith and a love for our creator. A personal relationship with him. Praying to him each and every day through the good and the bad. I studied the bible and really got to know God that way. Studying the bible also proves that it is indeed the word of God. There are things in the bible that no ordinary man could have possibly known.

1. Allah (SWT) 'God' is only 'One', has no partner or son, and neither gives birth, nor is He born. He is eternally besought by all and has no beginning or end, and none is equal to Him (Holy Quran example)
2. He is the Merciful and the Compassionate, the Guardian and the True Guide, the Just and the Supreme Lord, the Creator and the Watchful, the First and the Last, the Knowing and the Wise, the Hearing, and the Aware, the Witness and the Glorious, the Able and ' the Powerful. (Holy Quran example).
3. He is the Loving and the Provider, the Generous and the Benevolent, the Rich and the Independent, the Forgiving and the Clement, the Patient and the Appreciative, the Unique and the Protector, the Judge and the Peace. (Holy Quran example). The question of Allah's (SWT) 'God' existence has preoccupied men's minds for many centuries. Those who believe in Allah (SWT) 'God' seem to agree that the limited finite human intelligence cannot prove the existence of the infinite boundless of Allah (SWT) 'God'. It can only illustrate or demonstrate his existence to the satisfaction of the curious human mind.
Those who deny Allah's (SWT) 'God' claim to rely on science, philosophy, or special theories of knowledge. Their arguments are sometimes inapplicable, sometimes irrelevant, always complex, and often incomprehensible. However, the developed mind will find its way to Allah (SWT) 'God'. Failure to find the way does not mean that there is no way. Denial of reality does not make it unreal.

First I want to say no matter what you read study or listen to you will never completely understand God, his motivations, why, how. Any God that can be completely understood is too small for me. That doesn't mean we should not strive to know and understand him more and more. I cannot fathom the intricacies of this planet, of the human body of life all around us being a fortunate coincidence or an accident. I can't not believe in a God when I look around me. So the question is which God. Read the Bible and other religious documents. Read up on the religions themselves and don't just take what you read as truth. Read on challenges to the different religions. Search for God and have faith that he wants you to find him. Pray. The Bible says seek and you will find. Don't take peoples word as gospel challenge it and see who can back up what they say.

God is so important to all lives (believers and unbelievers). It is by the Lord's grace that we have the chance to "draw nigh" to Him (James 4:8). I'll give you credit that you see the contradictions and misrepresentations that some proclaiming Christians have given, but don't be mistaken. The Lord (Jesus) is good and He has more than demonstrated that (Psalms 118:1). People sometimes confuse the Almighty God with His people/followers. People (Christians as well) are not perfect. Christians are people who want to live up to who we believe in the most (Lord Jesus). And you can't totally depend on or understand what you see from people (Psalms 118:8; Proverbs 3:5&6), but the Lord is completely dependable. God has made it possible that we could come to a place to know Him if we really want to know how to get to Him (Matthew 7:7&8). The sacrifice (Jesus Christ) is the key to getting it all right (John 14:6). Our reference to God is Jesus. Jesus is man's trailblazer/advocate back to the Almighty. Our full potential of life is wrapped up in our faith in Jesus Christ (John 10:10). If we seek the Lord's ways earnestly we don't have to blindly follow after the traditions of men (Matt. 7:13,14). If you seek after true righteousness you'll be filled (Matt. 5:6). People have a tendency sometimes to complicate things that don't have to be, and God wanted to make a way for us to have an area of reference, which is the Word of God (the bible). It was/and still is fought over, fought for, but is now available freely to us. We should not take it lightly and ignore what we read (Romans 15:4). I know that you may think of how there are people who believe that Jesus is or was and that He died for us all, but faith without works is dead (James 2:17). Our faith is built up through God's word (Romans 10:17). Hebrews 11:6 says that it is impossible to please God without faith, but we aren't required to have a tremendous amount. Besides, Jesus is the starter and finisher of our faith (Heb. 12:2), so He told us that we only need a tiny bit-a mustard seed's worth (Matt. 17:20). You seem that you have given this some thought, and I can't give you every single grain of info in this small space, because there is so much to learn. I'm still learning, but I've come to accept that God is big enough to do what is right. His ways are as far from us as the heavens to the earth, and if He says that Jesus is the way (John 10:30), I accept that. And I thank God for Jesus. You can be someone who actually gets it right. I pray you are.
(I made so many references to the bible because it's the source of my words.)

This is a question worth more than a y! responce. I hope you will look into it a bit further. I know of a good FAQ section on a website called rature ready. It answers every question you have; and if it's not on there, you can email the guy that created it, simply; he is great at responding. God says if you seek Him, you will find Him..you are seeking, and you WILL find. Talk to Him, what do you have to lose? He is olways present, He is not confined to this time and space and the reality we know. Let Him teach you. He is the one who loves you and created you, and He will lead you in the right direction. Just talk to Him, He can hear you. And He will show you the way. He is more powerful than you realize. You dont have to expect yourself to know it all, or believe 100%- you only need the faith the size mustard seed, which is very small. As you know, that small little seed produces an outgrowth of enormous proportion. It takes trust, you have to trust, and then God begins to reveal Himself to you. He says that Jesus is the only way to Him. To confess your inability to save yourself from your own nature, and ask God to forgive you, because that is the freedom Jesus gave you from the consequences of your own flaws-He paid the price for you. So that you can know God, and walk with God, while you are still here on earth, and once you pass on from your fleshly body. When you accept Jesus, He sends the Holy Spirit of God to dwell with you, and teach you; understanding and wisdom, to comfort you, counsel you and love you in a way you have never experienced; because God is true love. I am excited for you! I remember when I was in your position, I will never again have to walk alone, and you dont have to either!!

well..it's very hard to "understand" God and forever.. i mean i've believed in God since i was 5... God is always with you, you just don't know it... it's why isn't God here, where is HE. I'm a muslim and i don't believe what happened on 9-11 is right.. i mean so many people were killed, and God will judge them for that.. if it was right or wrong i don't know.. i mean yeah the holy war.. but i don't think it's right... so if your intention is pure and you really want HIM, He'll responed, he might have already but you miight not have noticed.. i mean alot of us want God just to pop out and say here I am, but that's the thing God doesn't want people to believe because they see, because faith is blind, In Islam it is believed that when some is buried, he or she is screaming, because of the punishment of the afterlife and i've read a book on it.. dreams that the prophets have had about it, and man is it scary.. so anyways the only things that can hear the sould screaming are the trees and animals, because if we heard that would be believeing by seeing and we would be so scared that we would never enter a graveyard again.... open your eyes to the things around you..i always wanted this BIG I AM here things, but then i noticed the little things... like my friend can see things like auras and stuff and i asked God well how about me, i want a special gift and now i'm 21 and it just dawned on me that i've had a gift ever since i was 6, i had a dream about being in a grave with a scale of water and fire... and 15 years i read that "death book" and it read there will be a scale of fire and water! i mean man i was like whoooooooaaaa, notice the little things God is humble, he doesn't want to be a show off, i think the the older people had more signs because they were non-believers or something like that, but now since we'v got what they were told... it's lets say more difficult, and there is only one God, just christians have made it into the trinity which i think is wrong, because Jesus was praying to tGod and alot of christians believe Jesus is God and they pray to the Holy spirit and muslims just pray to God.. no Holy spirit or Jesus or Muhammad, they were all messengers of God...

Whack yourself in the head repeatedly with a large hammer.

Seriously though... Most people who *try* to believe in a god fail. It is either there or it isn't... like Yoda said... "Do... or do not. There is no try!"

Most everyone I know who has gone from non-believer to believer has had some sort of dramatic personal experience that they just couldn't explain any other way than Divine Intervention. They didn't plan it, didn't ask for it... it just happened... kind of like seeing UFO's or Bigfoot, but with a heck of a lot more punch behind it...

A friend of mine saw a demon by his bed and banished it with Christ's name (he was atheist at the time) and became a fanatical Christian on the basis of his experience. Ten years later I showed him pretty conclusive proof that what he went through was a rather common sleep disturbance and not at all supernatural... He remains a fanatical Christian to this day, and that's how it goes...

"....Blessed are they who did Not see, and yet believed."
John 20:29

Suffering is the result of human sin. The world is not the way that God created it and because of that, all are vulnerable to the affects of sin in the world.
Why does one person suffer and another does not?
Why do catastrophes happen to some and no others?
It is because sin is in the world.
But there will come a day when the Lord will return and cleanse this world of all sin and all suffering.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away" (Rev. 21:4).

My best advice is read the New Testament, and focus on the teachings of Jesus. It's about love and reality, and that's what I choose to believe... I don't know how to interpret the Old Testament, with a judgmental God and magical tales of revenge and catastrophe. I'm not saying that they are not true, I am just too immature a Christian to know how to interpret them properly. You might feel abandoned by God... we all do at some point... but he is with you and waiting for you to completely surrender yourself to him. Most of us aren't willing or able to be completely open to him until we are reaching our 'breaking point'. I can vouch for this personally. Your questions about tragedy and how God can let it happen are good questions that can be answered by someone who is more knowledgable. I recommend searching for a good church that's not a stuck-up, Sunday-frilly-dress type of church, but the type of church where you can find drug-addicts and prostitutes in the open arms of the pastors and all the other members. If you don't find a good one right away, keep looking... look for people to talk to on the internet about these things too. The best, most oversimplified answer I can give to the classic question of 'why does God let us suffer?' is that when God gave us free will, he surrendered his right to control our lives. So much of our pain and suffering has been self-inflicted... if God were to 'step in' and stop world hunger, for example, what would we do then? We would take it for granted and it would gradually start to happen again. I don't really know much, and maybe you shouldn't listen to me... there are people who can tell you better about this stuff.

Just don't give up on him or yourself. Let every boundary down and reach out to him... open yourself up and tell him you love him and want to feel him... he will come to you and you'll feel it somehow. For me, it's like getting cool water dumped on my head, or goosebumps or just tears (I know I sound crazy, but it's true). If there was a gun to my head right now, I would say 100% that he loves you and will come to you, risking death if I was wrong. I promise you he will be there if you let him in.

When a teacher teaches you ' knife ', he tells that ' k ' is silent. You believe that and learn a whole of the subject after that.

Only when we talk about God we start asking for proofs. Agreed in a materialistic world, you can check the authenticity because you can check it or get that checked.

But the topic of spiritual matters is beyond the capacity of the smartest intellectual of the world. So we need a true saint to understand the topic.
