Living in S.F. for a bit, I can tell you this. VERY FAST PACED here!

I mean, NYC is fast paced to begin with but in comparison to the laid back, mellow atmosphere of Northern California, you will find it even more faster and quicker than the average person coming here.

There is very little difference in culture.....both have Chinatowns, Latinos, African-Americans, Gays. The "cultural shock" is the attitude, and you will see it more fast paced here than the average person coming to NYC.

Prepare yourself for the thrill of your life. New York has a culture mixture where everybody that come to visit enjoy it just don't resist and give yourself the chance to try it . There is an unbeatable night life. The Theaters, Restaurants, Sports, and of course good jobs. Just Remember what Ol'blue eyes said " If you can make it there you're gonna make it any were". You"ll fill welcome.
