What does that mean when a guy says he doesn't want to ever have sex because he's afraid of getting addicted and doesn't want to risk it? He wants to have a life and wants to do other things besides having sex, so he's avoiding it completely...Do you think that's possible to stay a virgin all their life?

i don't think so. that is very unusual. most guys want sex when they are still in puberty and it doesn't let up even when they are already old.

It's definitely possible to stay a virgin your whole life, but I think your friend has some strange reasons for wanting to stay a virgin. Sex isn't like drugs or tobacco or alcohol- your body can't get addicted to it and dependent on it.
Some people are addicted to sex, but if your friend were at risk for that, he'd already be having sex (or would at least probably be addicted to pornography, phone sex, masturbation, etc.).
If this is your friend's excuse, it may be that he's covering up something else. Maybe he's embarrassed that he's still a virgin, so by saying it's intentional, no one can make fun of him for not having had any opportunities yet. Or maybe he is embarrassed by his penis. Or maybe he's afraid to be so close to another person. There are tons of reasons someone wouldn't want to have sex, but I've never heard this reason before (and I think it's a strange one). I mean seriously, who doesn't ever want to taste chocolate because they're afraid they're going to get addicted to it?

no. if he's not having sex with another person he's having sex with himself.
sounds like a weird excuse to avoid a natural, biological , and pleasurable part of ones life. he must be afraid of something, and hopefully he will resolve that sooner than later.

yeah it is possible but 4 how long is the question most guys can't go without sex, but he maybe the other guy that proves u wrong. but i think hes just nervous about sex dats all.
