Ok so I like this girl my age (15) and shes going on the french trip for 3 weeks and we are like good friends (not best of friends I only met her last year) I was wondering should I get her something before she goes on the trip or after or not at all ( I was thinking a teddy bear)

Get her a mini build a bear, it is personal, not expensive and she can keep it close to her in her purse.
P.S.
You may want to tell her how you really feel.

Be corny. Get a funny picture of you and tell her she can have it so she won't miss you while she's gone. (But be funny, not creepy about it) Make sure you include you address so she can send you a postcard. I don't know what I'd think of a teddy bear. Remember, she has a lot to think about right now, adding that might be a distraction because she'll be spending time wondering what it means. I would vote not doing anything when it really comes down to it.

awww that is so sweet give her the teddy bear. But not in front of everyone just in case it get all emotional. You will feel good by giving her something to think of you on her trip.

Don't get her anything she may take it the wrong way but if you still want to get her something get her a book to help her language skills in french (if she doesnt speak it or doesnt speak it well). Get her something that will help her on her trip. if you get her something more personal you may be sending her a wrong signal, that you like her, and she may not feel the same way about you and you may ruin a friendship.

Yes, a teddy bear would be nice. Tell her you'll miss her and you want her to have a body guard. It will be sweet and she'll have something that reminds her of you.

You're such a romantic!
And at your young age too!
How sweet...
She would be a lucky girl to have a caring & loving boyfriend such as yourself.
Do you think there might be the slightest chance she could have feelings for you too?
If so, go ahead & offer her your teddy bear.
Don't be shy tiger!
Good luck to you!

Of course, give her the teddybear so she can remember you on her trip. Maybe she'll think of it as a sweet gesture and kiss you before she leaves...you dont realize what you have until you lose it. Or until she comes back that is.

Buy it before she goes. Get something nice (i.e. not cheap) and thoughtful (something she relates to). For example, if she likes cats, buy her a hello kitty doll or something, and mention you got it because you know she likes cats. I have always found people respond better to personalized gifts rather than generic gifts (flowers, candy, which are good if you are in a hurry, but less meaningful).

wow dude, you're so sweet (hey dont get me wrong). i think you should know what she likes first before buying her something. if she doesnt like a teddy bear...you'll be disappointed as you wont see an expected response from her.
however, i think girls are very touchy when given a teddy bear. go for it, dude.

that's really sweet. maybe before the trip, she will love it! then she can think of you when she's in France...
but dont expect anything more to come of it.... (speaking from experience.... ) nonetheless she will like you if even just as a friend.
