My boyfriend and I work for the same company. But different buildings. He and I are on different shifts. He was supposed to work Saturday. But it was canceled at 7 a.m. at the end of his shift. My shift ends at 10:30. p.m. I paged for him but no answer. Another employee said that my bf didn't have to work. I feel like my bf should have called. The only time he calls me is to say he is on his way over or to cancel. I called him and asked him about it. He said that he didn't call because he didn't know if I would be home or awake. I find this excuse dumb because I have a cell and home phone. Both have answering services. So, am I being picky when I expect him to call? I mean, what if I wanted to see him?

Since he knows you're working, he may think no point telling you if his work was cancelled or not.

It's about communication. Tell him you want better communication to reduce misunderstanding. Tell him you expected his calls / text / messages. He may also have his expectations of not calling frequently. So please communicate clearly on what both of you expect & what both of you can agree upon.

E.g. "Dear, if you're free, I'll appreciate if you call / text me / leave a message for me. Because I miss you and like to meet up with you whenever we could. Especially we're on different shifts, it's more difficult to meet up. If you're busy, tired, need rest, just let me know. I'll understand & not insist on meeting up if I can."

He may tell you he's not the type that would call often. He doesn't have the habit or whatever. Or he thought you wanted to rest or he wanted to rest. Listen to what he has to say. And respond accordingly.

Remember he needs rest from work. If men do not have enough rest, they can get cranky / grumpy / unreasonable too.

I understand why you'd like to exam this situation. Seems like you're eager to contact him and he's slow to respond. You shouldn't feel as though you're putting more effort into the relationship than your partner. Granted, he may have been busy....there could have been tons of excuses...but he honestly tells you that he wasn't sure if you were home/awake and that's the reason why he didn't attempt to call you. Hummm...I wouldn't like that answer either. But give it some room. Cut back a little on the phone calls....and let him make an effort. It should be a two way street. You don't want to start calling and nagging. Most importantly, protect yourself from emotional heartbreaks. Follow your instincts....your heart won't lie to you. Good Luck

the thanks to administration it really is to ask your daughter once you communicate at the same time with her again, if she needs you to do something for her, or if she thinks you're ignoring her. tell her to call you, and/or digital mail you, if something comes up, that she needs to communicate with you about, or if she needs you to come back visit her more advantageous. Come proper out and ask this stuff, and then you'll be conscious of the position issues stand. you at the instantaneous are not being nosey, you in simple terms favor her to share more advantageous of her life with you. I definitely have in person-friendly words one new child, and that i think a similar, and that i omit her too, cuz she has a boyfriend, and mommy receives omitted. nicely, no longer omitted, yet we do not get to spend as a lot time at the same time as we did in the previous. Are you afraid he might be cheating on you or something?

If you are, you need to ask him just that but remember to remain calm; don't accuse him of anything that you simply cannot prove just yet.

If not, what are you worried about exactly?

Do you live out of each other's pockets or something?

Are you both joined at the hips like Siamese twins?!?

Don't stress yourself out over so little and calm yourself down at once!

Just ask him why he didn't leave you a message on your answering service.

You seem far too clingy to me.

You would do well to remember that most men cannot stand clingy women so beware!

This is a little too much, it will make him want to get rid of you fast! Who knows? Maybe he has something to hide. He could be seeing someone else and by that time it's just too late, forget him!
