Yes, I have used it.

It's not to easy at first. I learned how to use it just by fiddling around in it (when it was still called cool edit pro). If you play with it on a regular basis you will get used to it. It's like any other program, the more you practice and experiment the more comfortable you'll get with it.

I don't know how to use everything to it's potential in the software but i know the basic stuff. What do you have to lose by trying it? I am also sure that if you look hard enough you'll find some tutorials on the net.

The Noise and hiss removal are especially handy when recording from sources like tape or LP.
