Humanism

The reality of war that will hopefuly never happen again.
"The guy with the biggest gun will always win"
A sad but true quote.
Also know that it was over 50 years ago and we're more of an ally with japan than a enemy now. And terrorists? I think not.
On a different note, no one ever in history has ever invaded Japan by land or sea. And they won't surrender until death so they were a very formidable enemy.

Capitalist.

No, really.
Japan was on the verge of surrender, but it had to be accelerated. The bomb was dropped to end the war quickly before the Russians got involved ( I think the timetable was something like 60 or 90 days after the end of hostiliites in europe) so that they wouldn't have a hand in the post war controle ( think east japan and west japan), in addition it was an oppurtunity to scare the russsians who the current adminsitraiton knew would be the next foe.
The lives saved by averting an invation was all well and good, but had nothing to do with the decision to use the bomb.

I have a better question, what was the religion of the terrorists that attacked the United States at Pearl Harbor, killing thousands of our people when we were just minding our own business? Did you know we asked the Japanese Government to surrender before we dropped the A-Bomb and they refused, then after we dropped the first one we asked them to surrender again and they refused again. At least we did not attack them first and I believe that we are NOT TERRORISTS when we defend our own country that was attacked by JAPAN!!! Are you saying that the United States of America does not have the right to defend itself against an attack??? What planet are you from???? By the way the Bible does give us the right to defend ourselves when attacked!!!!

Anyone who attacks innocent civilians is a terrorist, for God's sake.

What did the INNOCENT people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki have to do with the Pearl Harbor bombings?

And they were planning to drop SEVEN more!

Get a life. Japan got the smackdown because they pulled a stupid stunt trying to be the bully at Pearl Harbor. Bet they won't try that again. Did you happen to miss the fact that they were part of the Axis of Evil???? You have no idea what you're talking about.

They were not terrorist they saved more lives by their actions then they actually took. A full scale invasion of Japan would have cost millions of Japanese and American lives.
