There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is henceforth distinct from error. And he who rejecteth false deities and believeth in Allah hath grasped a firm handhold which will never break. Allah is Hearer, Knower [Qur'an 2:256]

Caccious Clay (Muhammad Ali , Former World Heavy weight Campion boxer)

Cat Stevens (Yusuf Ali) Most popular Britisher Pop singer

Jermie Jackson (Brother of Pop Singer Michael Jackson)

Professor Tagata Tagasone, formerly Head of the Department of Anatomy and Embryology at the
University of Shiang Mai in Thailand. He is now the Dean of the College of the Medicine at the University. From my studies and from what I have learned throughout this conference, I believe that everything that has been recorded in the Qur’aan 1400 years ago must be the truth, that can be proved by the scientific means. Since the Prophet Muhammad could neither read nor write, Muhammad must be a messenger who relayed this truth which was revealed to him as an enlightenment by the One Who is an eligible Creator. This Creator must be Allah, or Allah. Therefore, I think this is the time to say ‘Laa ilaaha illallah’, that there is no Allah to worship except Allah, ‘Muhammad Rasool Allah’, Muhammad is messenger of Allah...

Professor Armstrong, Scientist works at NASA, I am impressed that how remarkably some of the ancient writings seem to correspond to modern and recent Astronomy. There may well have to be something beyond what we understand as ordinary human experience to account for the writings that we have seen.

Professor Dorja Rao, It is difficult to imagine that this type of knowledge was existing at that time, around 1400 years back. May be some of the things they have simple idea about, but do describe those things in great detail is very difficult. So, this is definitely not a simple human knowledge.

"No other society has such a record of success in uniting in an equality of status, of opportunity and endeavour so many and so varied races of mankind. The great Muslim communities of Africa, India and Indonesia, perhaps also the small community in Japan, show that Islam has still the power to reconcile apparently irreconcilable elements of race and tradition. If ever the
opposition of the great societies of the East and west is to be replaced by cooperation, the mediation of Islam is an indispensable condition." (H.A.R. Gibb, WHITHER ISLAM, p. 379)

Sure... Cat Stevens and Cassius Clay. Now Yussuf Islam and Muhammed Ali. Cat made the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in 1972 and his old songs are still played a lot: "Peace Train", "Wild World", "Where Do the Children Play"?, "Moonshadow", "Hard Headed Woman", "Miles from Nowhere", "But I Might Die Tonight", "Longer Boats", "Father and Son" (my personal fav.), "Bitterblue", "The First Cut Is the Deepest" and lots more. Several albums as Yussuf Islam, too. He was On Top in the 70s; here he is last year performing at the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize Concert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoSidI8ldPA&mode=related&search==

I think Ali might have been a boxer ;-) (Google 'em fer "Why?").

No but I would like to know who.

as to why I can almost guarentee it was regarding to the Trinity. In comparision to Christianity, Islam is a very simple religion. All you say is the shahada and thats it, your a Muslim! But Christianity usually adds extra steps (Catholic).

Also Islam is a newer religion and people tend to go for the newer modern thing. Thats why we are obsessed with keeping up to date:cars, clothes, TV's etc. And nowadays when you walk into cathedrals you are walking into a museaum.

They are as foolish as any body converting from Islam to Christianity.

Religion is not about being one up to others.

Your question shows that you have an unnecessary pride in to your religion which you may be practicing.

you have a long list to write it down here, so here is just a quote

"Jonathan Birt, the son of Lord Birt, and Emma Clark, the granddaughter of former liberal Prime Minister Herbert Asquith, are only two of 14,000 mostly-elite white Britons having reverted to Islam, reports said." and here is the link

and the link comes with its own bigotry comments

here is Mr Birt website, he goes now by the name Yahy Birt

there is also Yusuf Estes at http://islamtomorrow.com
