Well as far as Christianity....
Jesus gave His diciples the commission to "go ye into all the world and preach the gospel."
But if you can't do that, at least have a personal connection with God and try not to be selfrighteous and hypocritical. The Bible is full of instructions, read it.

Qur’an 78:37 "None shall have power to argue with the Lord, none can converse with Him or address Him."
Read he Bibe, the God of the Bible wants people to converse with Him and address Him.

As a Christian the bible is full of examples of serving God. I also find direction on seeking God's will for my life.

I will say first know God. This if God "wanted" anything, this would be it. This is done through meditation. I think the Sufis are your mystic branch. Maybe you might have to go out on a limb. [pun intended]. Good luck. ~ : )
