About my amputees thing. I wasn't trying to discredit your God, I was simply asking why people believe in miracles. I feel you think I was attacking your God and the good he does in lives, and that wasn't the case, so I apoligize if I seemed that way. It is wonderful when someone can connect to the divine and become a better person and lead a better life. In a way that is it's own miracles, but the miracles I was talking about were physical ones, like so many people believe in.

You know, how people say God miraculously cured their son of cancer or whatever. I definitly believe you can draw strength from God to beat it, but it's not exactly a miracle like regrowing a limb, do you see what I mean?

Sorry Chi, to clarify, I meant the Christian God.

The last, it's not about judging amputees, it's about God doing something science can't explain.

Sorry someone got mad at you. I wish they would stop doing that when someone talks about something that they do not like. Getting mad is never a good thing.

I agree with you on drawing from god strength to help cure something.

I believe in God and I believe in miracles because of the miracle in my life. Read my blog if you want details.

I still stand by my answer. Just because a person is born missing an arm doesn't mean she or he is "less" or "not good enough" to be a human being. The same people who judge amputees as being different and not as good are the same people who will argue we should accept homosexuality because they were just born different. Makes no sense to me.

Maybe the miracle of growing a limb back is just too mind blowing. We maybe couldn't handle such an unbelievable thing as that. It would completely distort our reality. What would happen to the former amputee? Not only to the persons mind, but what would people think of the person? What would scientists do?

I totally see what you mean and your right. That's almost a difficult question. When Jesus was around he healed men with shrived hands and put peoples ears back on after being cut, but that was God interjecting in our world.
We live under the laws of this world and God frequents it by sometimes giving us healing. The same God that can raise a dead person after a person has lost a pulse yes, is the same God who could make a leg grow back.

The difference is that the person may pray to have it back in this world, he probably wont. But what the Christian faith says is that he WILL have it back in his glorified body, when he gets to heaven, guarenteed.

i understand where you are coming from. and i can see why this questions about "regrowing limbs" is on your mind.

just a few things i want to touch bases on with you

accordingly to my God's word
Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."

you see, i dont need these eyes to have faith and know God is there.
there has been so many times God has done something for me in my life. but the thing is, it is extremly difficult for me to tell you of my experiences because you dont see with the same eyes (or shall i say heart being how that is the bases of God's work) as a Christian would. now, i could walk up to someone who has experienced the same things and they would know exactly what i was talking about and they would know exactly how it feels.
no matter how much i tell you that it is real, you can never truly understand it untill you experience it because i cant fully express it to you. there simply is not a word to describe it.

also, i wanted to bring up the 40 days\ Jesus spent with the devil hackling him. you may know the story, you may not.

i want you to read a small passage about when the devil tried to have Jesus prove Gods mighty powers.

Satan Tempts Jesus
Luke 4:1-13
1 Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.
3 And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”
4 But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’”
5 Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7 Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”
8 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’”
9 Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here. 10 For it is written:
‘ He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you,’
11 and,
‘ In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’”
12 And Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’”
13 Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.

you see, God doesnt do miracles on command just so that he can prove himself to others. he wants you to believe in him through faith. because it is faith alone in Jesus Christ that will save you.

i hope this was helpful. if in any way it was confusing or you would just like to bring up a topic with me, i would be more than happy to talk with you. just shoot me an e-mail

Blessing upon you my friend

You mean like people raised from the dead and untouched by flames or the sun dancing around in the sky and being reported in the Portuguese newspapers in 1917 even though they were run by an atheists.

To start with your way wrong your saying your God there is no yours or mine in this do to the fact that there is only one. I'm not sure if I answered one of your questions. The one you refer to here. But if I did and I don't remember being insulting on purpose and was. I also apologise. Forgive me if I misspell. The spell checker has vanished from my page.

Sathya Sai Baba say, "Miracles are my visiting cards"

Perhaps these are the things the Great God use to announce about Himself/Herself/Itself or THATself.

Perhaps people need to look beyond these visiting cards towards the Wholeness.
